Orla Kiely is without a doubt one of my favourite designers. She epitomizes modern vintage fashion with her retro prints and 60s inspired shapes. Reigning from Dublin, Orla says that the oranges, greens and yellows that she grew up around have inspired her line. Not only does she design beautiful clothes but she has quirky houseware and stationary collections too; do her talents end?! Although her pieces featured on Asos may be pricier than a lot of us are willing to spend on a regular basis (myself included), they’re a lovely treat for the Christmas season and a definite timeless investment piece!
More affordable options of Orla’s designs are available at UNIQLO, who have teamed up with her to produce long sleeved tops featuring her signature retro prints. They would be perfect for layering this season and at the miniscule price of £9.90, everyone can have a little bit of guilt-free designer luxury in their wardrobes!
Orla Kiely is one of those wonderful designers who really hits the nail on the head when it comes to vintage inspired fashion, and I’m looking forward to seeing what she pulls out next from her multi-talented sleeve!
