Since the Alexa Chung for AG Jeans collaboration exploded onto the scene, button down A-line skirts have been top of my wishlist. This black cord version was a piece sent straight from the 1970s gods (who I imagine wear flares and wet look coats), as it was an absolute steal in the Urban Outfitters sale! I’ve (not so) shamelessly paired it with a French slogan navy jumper here, a la Queen Chung herself.
Although I’m having a nice little love affair with this beauty, black cord is like that annoying family member who likes to point out things you don’t want anyone else to know or see, as it seems to attract any and EVERY piece of material/food/dust/fluff. Throwing my trusty white fluffy dressing gown on after a long day is now out of the question, unless I actually want people to know I’m sitting in drinking tea and watching Mad Men – pass me the lint roller!
