Co-ord: Miss Selfridge/ Shoes: Primark/ Blazer: Mango/ Bag: Primark
Whenever there’s an occasion which calls for handbags and gladrags, I don’t always like to go for a dress because I don’t usually get a lot of wear out of them. So for my birthday this year, I made it my mission to find a co-ord which I could wear both in the evening and casually in the daytime too.
It was pretty much love at first sight with this Miss Selfridge gingham duo. Although I don’t usually like to have a crop-top which reveals my top half so much, I though the cute print and high-waisted trousers balanced things out quite well. That’s what I told myself anyway! I topped the co-ord off with some contrasting polka-dot shoes and my Olivia Burton watch and voila! I was ready to boogie on the tiles.
The trousers have already made an appearance in my daytime wardrobe with a simple Tee, but I’m yet to wear the crop-top seen as though it’s a little more out there. So all in all, I’m really happy I opted for a co-ord rather than a fancy dress I’d only wear once or twice. Two really is better than one!
