Flares: Topshop/ Jacket: H&M/ Top: H&M
Flares, flares, flares; an item of clothing I never thought I’d buy into, but here I am sporting my second pair. Although I really love them, I’ll hold my hands up and admit that they’re pretty difficult to style! I’m used to throwing on a pair of skinny jeans and choosing any shirt, top or jumper I have to wear with them. But because of the super retro 70s shape of flares, you can’t just bang any old pieces with them, as you run a high risk of looking like Starsky or Hutch…or both.
So I’ve decided to do the whole ‘1 item, 2 ways’ thang again, this time with my beloved flares. This look is quite a casual one with the striped breton tee, but the tan suede jacket is definitely channelling the 1970s even more so. I usually tuck tops inside flares to give more of a streamlined look (seen as though things get a little crazy from the knee down) but I quite like the untucked slouchy vibe!
