Beauty and skincare aren’t areas I would ever call myself an expert in. So, when I got invited to attend the Current Body event in Manchester a couple of weeks ago, I jumped at the chance! It was held at the beautiful Artisan in Spinningfields, a truly lovely venue and perfect for such a classy evening.
I popped along with my beauty obsessed and fellow blogger amiga Frankie (check out her fab blog here!) and we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and a glass of Prosecco. What more could a girl want, hey?! There was so much beauty, skincare, nail and hair goodness jam packed into one room, that we couldn’t wait to find out more.
Like most girls, I suffer with spots and pimples. And I don’t know about you, but I thought they would have buggered off by the age of 23! So with this in mind, the skincare goodies and gadgets were the ones I gravitated towards.
I’ve heard a lot about Clarisonic, particularly how their gadgets bring impurities to the surface and prevent any more pesky spots from starting. After seeing one in person and talking to the wonderful Emily about them in more detail, they really are becoming more appealing to me by the day. Having said that, if I were to buy from any of Current Body’s skincare brands, it would be Foreo and in particular, the Luna Mini T-Sonic Cleansing Brush. It’s such a nifty little thing and it feels so gentle, that I can imagine it being nothing but brilliant for your skin. It works by deeply cleansing and removing 6 times more make-up, oil and dirt from your pores; 3 things which you really don’t want lingering on your skin.
I feel so much more knowledgeable about beauty, and skincare in particular, since the Current Body event and can’t thank the team enough for such a lovely night.
