Coat: Oxfam Originals/ Shoes: Zara (sale)/ Cord jeans: Topshop/ Top: Topshop
I always find vintage and charity shop shopping a real hit and miss. Sometimes I find absolutely nothing, but other times I’ll find a dynamite piece, like this vintage leather oxblood coat. Without getting too deep, I love how vintage items have a history, whether we know what it is or not. And I think it’s such a lovely thought that someone will have bought this very coat maybe 40 years ago, and done a little “woohoo!” when they found it too.
I adore the coat’s penny round collar and deep burgundy shade, which goes perfectly with jewel tones like this rusty Topshop top. I mentioned in my previous post that I’m fully embracing the seventies this season, but it’s also nice to mix the then and now into one outfit. And what’s more ‘now’ than a futuristic pair of silver shoes?
